After 9 years coaching my 2 son's Meteors team, I found myself wanting to pass along to other coaches what I have learned. As many of you know, so much of this has nothing to do with baseball. I spent the last year putting everything I had into writing a comprehensive book called, "Travelball - How to Start and Manage a Successful Travel Baseball Team."

The book is 343 pages and includes chapters on Managing Players and Parents, Team Organization and Administration, Handling Umpires and Tournament Directors, Managing Playing Time, Strategy Adjustments for Youth Games, Handling Pitchers, Offense, Defense, Practices, Recruiting New Players, Tournament and Game Strategy, Hosting a Tournament and a lot more.

Former Major Leaguer Paul Byrd wrote a great foreward. Check it out here: http://bit.ly/TravelballBook

As Earl Weaver said, "It's what you learn after you think you know everything that really counts!"
