as a coach have you ever said "we need to play like a team." what does that mean???? we have taught our players that it means putting the team before the individual. at the end of every play, we get to the middle of the court and huddle. We may just take a second to say "good job" or "we will get them this point." This only takes a few seconds but i have found it to be very rewarding when it comes to making us a TEAM. When the whistle blows the players know that they must go to the huddle and the emphasis is now on the team not the individual. if they must instantly get to the huddle they dont have time to pout or react negativly. team before individual. any other ideas like this?
