5-3Man 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2015 First off, I have never played organized volleyball. I have gone out and gotten away with some athletic ability but that is not what I am dealing with. I am starting in the womb with my team. I am the only coach for 12 girls aged 8-9. I do get an assistant next week thank God. Is there any advice you can give someone who is having serious doubts whether his team will not lose at an unbelieveable fashion?

You just need to put the time and effort in to becoming a knowledgeable volleyball coach. You will need a game plan for the drills and alignments that you want to teach. In addition to purchasing instructional volleyball dvd's, there is a lot of free stuff out there to help you put together a game plan. Here are some links to get you started.Youth Volleyball DrillsJohn Dunning's Setting DVDCoaching Youth Volleyball - Practice Planning DVDCoaching Youth Volleyball - Simplified Playing System DVDYou Tube Volleyball DrillsGuide to Coaching Youth Volleyball
