What are some good ideas about raising money for an AAU basketball team.Getting a sposor is one idea but what about other ideas?

How would we go abouts starting a AAU team?

That I can use to teach my team in practice.All that I can think is the one At Northeastern University 20 years ago

I would just have them do layups, show them how to dribble and shoot.Shw them how to shoot free throws.Show them that the right way to dribble is to use the finger tips.The same with the shooting.Point out to them that when they shoot the ball it is like waving at the basket.Show them the proper defensive stance which is a crouched position.Tell them to keep their eyes on the ball and the man with the ball.Tell and show them to play defense with their feet at all times.This is some of what we did in our first practice.

How do I impact my group of 5th graders both as a team or as individuals?This is my first time coaching basketball.In games and in practice I have tried to emphasize the team,do your best and to have fun.I have purposedly not talked about winning and losing.We have also tried our best to teach the fundamentals in practice.We have also tried to yell encouragement and point out things to them during the games.This is something we love doing and want to continue doing it in the future.

What do I say to my team of 5th Graders after we lose to the same team 34-12,41-14?
