You don't say how old your kids are or how long the other two coaches have been coaching. You also made the statement that the single wing is complicated comared to a conventinal offense. What formation would you call conventinal? One reason I use the single wing is because of how simple it is. Did the d-Coach really agree with you or just nod his head as you talked? Sounds like the head coach was trying to make sure everyone got plenty of playing time. I do agree with your concerns about getting a flow going, but I also know how difficult it is to get the back-ups their required playing time.
