  1. We played our second game today and won 48-0. I had stated in another topic about my team needing to work on pass protection. Well today the other team threw the ball 5 times and we intercepted 4 of them. The other pass was droped. The kids are having a blast and learning at the same time. now it is time to go prepare for our game next Saturday. 2-0
  2. I would say that we need to work on pass defense. We are running the Diamond defense, and it works good. We did run an int back 78yds for a TD today.
  3. Well my 3rd and 4th grade team played their first game today. We won 23-0. I am very proud of the teams composure and abality to stop the Offense and hold the other team to 0 points. Our next game is next Saturday. I seen a few things that we need to work on in practice this week, but over all I was very happy with their effort. For the Record, last year I coached a 1st and 2nd grade team and we were undefeated.
  4. Thanks for the welocme. Hopefully someone can give me some insight about the play calling from the sideline.
  5. Last year was my first year coaching flag football. I played all through school, but was always a back up player. I have twin boys who are very athelitic. I have coached them in Baseball for 5 years. Last year i took a 7-8 year old team. I came up with a play book that the kids could understand and kept it real simple. The kids learned all the plays and all I had to do was call the play and they would run it perfect each time. We went undefeated last year and won the super bowl. This year my boys are 9 and I will have a 9-10 year old team. I have to call the plays from the sideline instead of in the huddle like last year. So I need help with sighns to use for the QB as to what play to run. I am thinking 8 plays or less and all will be fine. I do not want to confuse these kids and make them not like playing, because it should be fun.
