  1. I am a first year coach, playing 11 on 11. I have coached 5 on 5 , but now having 27 kids to coach is a little nerve racking. I do have 5 assistants and 5 dads helping out with practice, so the participation is there. I am wondering if anyone has ideas dealing with the first week of practice. I am a coach who wants to instill good fundamentals to these boys, but the first week where do you start : catching, 3 point stances, blocking throwing, ect. . And I do not want to over load their little brains. I do have a few coaches meetings set up to involve my assistants in this process. With being the head coach and having so many assistants do I just deligate each coach take over on offense or defense and I just overlook everything. Because I am a big hands on coach but I do not know everything, but I do put in the time to research it or go to a camp here and there. Any suggestions?
