Coaching Experience

How many seasons have you guys coached total?

I'm 21 years old & I'm in my 7th season of coaching...

I'm coaching a 5 on 5 Indoor Flag League.Similar to the outdoor NFL Flag Rules...We are off to our best start at 2-0.I'm not sure if its a coincidence but I'm coaching by myself this season and we are doing pretty good.I usually have my best bud help me out.He started coaching his own team.

I don't plan on coaching this fall.I'll be refereeing.I'm trying to save money for the 3 vacations i'm going to take next year....

I'll probably be coaching in the winter and again next spring...

Overall what has been your experience coaching and how many seasons have you done?

When I was your age I coached a women's flag football team for two seasons. We went to the campus championship game both years (but lost). 15+ years later I began coaching my son and now we're in our 4th season. That makes me a 6th season coach although there was a huge gap between 2 and 3.

Awesome so far...

I love the flag football stuff...I definitely want to get into tackle and make my way up from there but I just think starting out here and understanding this will be better for me as I move up.I've learned a ton of stuff so far.Its been great.

I understand how to read the whole field.I understand coverages better now...The biggest thing is understanding how to use players and put them where they will excel at.I think i've learned alot but I think thats the one thing I want to keep improving on.

I'd rather not say what I was doing when I was 21. ;-)

I'm 38 and this will be my fifth season coaching. I started because my son's first year, his coach was, well---less than impressive. I thought to myself, "This can be done much better". My parents taught me never to criticize anything I can't do better, so instead of complaining, I did something about it.

Last season was my first year coaching football (which is hands down my favorite sport).
