Go to the school's principal and see if it is ok to go class to class making presentations. See if you can get one of your towns more popular high school football players and the Head High School coach to help.(This is the future of his program)
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions around the recruitment of players for our football program. Every year we seem to have less and less players playing meanwhile, the cheerleading squads are filled to the limits. Programs like fall-ball, have taken their fair share of players out of our program, but every single year I meet kids that have no clue that there is a youth football program in thier own town. We advertise in the paper and send fliers out in the local schools, but that is not getting us to where we need to be. Does anyone have any more ideas around recruitment of players. What do your programs do outside of what we are doing to get players, if anything? I would imagine that some of your programs don't have this problem but even so, what do you do to "get the word out".
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks
