But do what is best for the team on the teams time."  It will be on our time.  Sign-ups are some time away and between sign-ups and the skills assessment, there's usually about a month and a half time period.  We'll use that time to as well as after basketball season to get him ready.  

I didn't realize why he chose middle linebacker until I talked to his coach from last year that told my son that he wouldn't be playing offensive line his whole life.  My son asked him what position he sees him playing and the coach, also an defensive assistant at the installation's high school told him he'd make an excellent middle linebacker.  So, my son wants to play it.  

I understand the difficulties in coaching one's own son though and I have to thank you for your responses.

I think if he doesn't go 100% he will get hurt. I could be wrong though.

They won their second game this weekend.  Now we head into the playoff as the number 4 seed.
