Youth
Basketball Plays - Triangle Offense for Youth Basketball - Basic
Concept
Break
the offense down into two parts: The triangle and the two-man
game. The triangle is shown in the larger red box (players
1, 3 and 5). The two man game is in the smaller red box.
Spacing
is critical. Note: the green dotted lines. The spacing should
be 15 - 18 feet apart. The kids will have a natural tendency
to creep together.
The
post player should be in alignment with the ball and the
basket. This forces the defense to play more directly behind
or in front of the post.
